The Cauldron is an item that you buy from the Sorceress' Hut for 100,000 lollipops. It gives you the ability to create Potions.
Making potions[ | ]
The Cauldron remembers the last five steps you took. A step is an action (Mix or Boil), the duration of the action (in seconds), and the amount of candies and lollipops in the Cauldron when the action was taken.[1]
Bottling the contents of the Cauldron removes all candies and lollipops from it, tries to make a Potion based on the last five steps, and then erases the steps from memory. Bottling is not possible during a quest, though other actions are.
If a Potion requires fewer than 5 steps, the game will only look at that many last steps to determine whether that Potion was made. This is sometimes useful when you mess up making one Potion and decide to make another (such as Health or Cloning).
This section has the exact steps that the Cauldron looks for when bottling to decide what the result is. The order below is the priority (so Health Potion is checked before Turtle Potion, etc.). Let P be the number of potions to make (at least 1).
Boil time (in seconds):[2]
- time < 3: cold
- 3 <= time < 6: lukewarm
- 6 <= time < 18: hot, very hot, bubbling
- 18 <= time < 50: boiling
- 50 <= time: burnt
Health Potion[ | ]
- Mix: < 30 seconds. Candies: P x 100. Lollipops: 0.
Turtle Potion[ | ]
- Mix: 7-13 seconds. Candies: Px50. Lollipops: Px500.
- Mix: any time. Candies: +Px50 (= Px100). Lollipops: +0.
Anti-gravity Potion[ | ]
This recipe creates 5xP potions.
- Boil: lukewarm. Candies: Px1000. Lollipops: 0.
- Boil: boiling (or burnt). Candies: +Px1000 (= Px2000). Lollipops: 0.
Berserk Potion and Cloning Potion[ | ]
If no candies were added, Berserk Potions are created. Otherwise, Cloning Potions are created.
- Mix: >= 60 seconds. Candies: (see above). Lollipops: P x 20,000.
P Potion[ | ]
This recipe creates an extra potion for every 100 lollipops after the first. For example, 1-1000 lollipops makes one potion, while 1200 lollipops makes three.
- Candies: Px500. Lollipops: 0. Mix: < 30 seconds.
- Boil: lukewarm. Candies: +100 per second mixed in step 1. Lollipops: 0.
- Mix: any. Candies: +0. Lollipops: > 0.
Note that the recipe allows mixing for 0 seconds in the first and third steps.
X Potion[ | ]
This recipe can only make one potion at a time.
- Boil: cold. Candies: 1. Lollipops: 0.
- Boil: cold. Candies: +1 (=2). Lollipops: 0.
- Boil: cold. Candies: +1 (=3). Lollipops: 0.
- Boil: cold. Candies: +1 (=4). Lollipops: 0.
- Boil: hot or higher. Candies: +0 (=4). Lollipops: 1.
